The essay, “Values Americans Live By,” by L. Robert Kohls are abstract concepts. You will need to use CONCRETE examples. The Assignment:
You will need to conduct four concrete examples for at least 3 different values. You will need to give concrete examples on your green sticky notes. Put your name on at the bottom of your statement and class period. You must use two examples, one connected to your book, To Kill a Mockingbird and the other to the short film, Requiem for the American Dream.
So What’s the Catch?:
If someone else has already posted a sticky note with the example, then you CANNOT post yours. Among my 9th grade students, I have a total of 55 students, therefore Therefore, for each value, maximum, for now, only FIVE sticky notes posted to each value. You may come into class before the first period bell, during first, and second periods to post your sticky notes. However, you cannot come during 3rd-7th period because I am teaching classes during these times. Of course, you can post it at the beginning of your class period.
Due Dates:
You cannot put a sticky note up until after 8:15 a.m. This is when some teachers, including myself, start to arrive at J.A. Fair school grounds. You have until the due date: Wednesday, March 1st, 2017.
