Remember, ELA, is a humanities (the human race; human beings collectively) subject area. Therefore, refusal to acknowledge or learn about issues of difference and equal treatments regardless of sexual orientation, religion, gender, nationality, etc. is not tolerable and neither should your peers tolerate this sort of behavior. Anything submitted in this course targeting hatred, discrimination, and/or bigotry in ways described above, at a minimum, would receive a zero.

Do not commit plagiarism. Do your own work.

Change

Some Americans believe that change is a good thing such as personality, behaviors, or society.Ex:In TKAM, Jem change his personality and becomes more mature and another one is The Biggest Loser where people have their life change.

Equality/Egalitarian

What equality meant to America is that all people are created equally and that God made this world to conserve peace and try to make this a goal.Ex: In Requiem for the American Dream, The Taft-Harley-Act was made to restore justice and equality for those who weren’t getting pay right and another example is the women march for women who wanted to be treated equally as the men’s.

Informality

Americans like to be informal instead of formal cause it plain boring and they tend to be friendly sometimes. In America, a person has their own way of dressing up,greeting people, and celebrating birthdays.Ex: In TKAM, Scout sometimes acts like a boy instead of being a lady and has a mind of an adult instead of a child for someone who’s in the first grade.

Materialism/Acquisitiveness

Americans believe that through hard-work and strong-intent they could accomplish anything. They collected more materials than any other countries to invent things.Ex: In the movie Big Hero 6, Hiro had to invent something that can get him into the university that help changes the world just like his brother, Tadashi, who made Baymax to help a lot of people.
